Zionist ambitions in Palestine at the end of the nineteenth century

Abstract
The late 19th century marked the beginning of the crystallization of the Zionist project as a political movement aimed at est. abolishing a national homeland for the Jews in Palestine, taking advantage of the weakness of the ottoman Empire and the growing European-particularly British support for the Zionist idea these ambitions became clearly evident through the activities of Zionist movement and its conferences ,most mutably the first Zionist congress held in Basel in 1997 under the leadership of Theodor Herzl who openly declared that the goal was toast a national home for the Jewish people in Palestine under international guarantors¨ organized Jewish immigration to Palestine beg arm, accompanied by land , surpasses by Zionist organizations such as the Jewish colonization association and the Jewish national fund , which paved the way for a significant Jewish pale stain land.
The Arabs in Palestine partially aware of these plans, bat political wearers and the absence of effedue organization parented an early response to the imminent threat.
